Shaman of the Sacred Heart

In my practice with animals and people, I have combined the Western shamanic practice of journeys, with the Eastern traditional Chinese medicine practice of qigong, to heal hearts, mend minds, and restore life.

Allow me to offer my assistance and support to you or your animal friends in creating a safe haven where you can experience personal growth, healing, problem resolution, and spiritual homecoming.

Shaman of the Sacred Heart - About Me

Shaman for the Sacred Heart

Krista Cantrell M.A.

Krista Cantrell M.A. uses her skills as a shaman, cognitive animal behaviorist, and qigong (pronounced chee gong) practitioner to solve animal behavior and health problems. Veterinarians, trainers, performance, and family pet owners seek her assistance for training, behavior and health issues. In addition, she is a published author, contributor to local, national, and international media, speaker at national conferences, skilled teacher, and seminar leader. Segments about her work with animals have appeared in print and broadcast media.

Shaman

Krista received her shaman training from a traditionally trained shaman of Cherokee descent. She continues to be trained by her guides. She offers journeys for people and animals. During a journey a shaman locates where an illness, incident, or behavior problem resides in spirit and removes it. Each journey is unique to the individual or animal. Three types of healing journeys are: soul recovery, shamanic touch for healing, and journeys for the dying or dead.

Cognitive Animal Behaviorist

Krista uses a mind-body approach that incorporates behavior modification, inner wisdom, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She believes that animals think, process information and learn; and when the mind engages, the body follows. She works with dogs, cats, and horses. In her dog classes and private lessons, German shepherds learn agility, poodles master obedience, dachshunds work on conformation, and puppies participate in "social hours." With her expert assistance, cats start using a litter box and horses learn how to load in a trailer. Her day may start with a Siamese cat and end with an aggressive mastiff. She teaches pet dog and competition classes, offers private lessons, trains, handles and shows dogs in agility, obedience, and canine freestyle. An active competitor, her dogs have many titles in agility and obedience.

Qigong Practitioner

Qigong uses the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to improve an animal’s health and well-being. In her work with large and small animals, Krista deals with diverse wellness issues such as irritable bowel syndrome, seizures, allergies, cancer, naivcular, lameness, Addison's disease, and hip dysplasia.

In October, 2007 she was the Keynote Speaker for the American Holistic Veterinary Association (AHVMA) Annual Conference discussing her healing approach with animals (cancer, hip dysplasia, seizures).
